WhiteFiber Buys Two North Carolina Sites for Data Center Retrofits

WhiteFiber acquires two properties in North Carolina to upgrade to data centers NC-2 and NC-3.

The properties, totaling approximately 120 acres, have existing warehouses of around 500,000 square feet. They are located about 55 miles from WhiteFiber’s NC-1 data center in Madison. WhiteFiber expects the sites to have a minimum of 60 MW of power capacity in the initial phase and up to 200 MW in seven years after the acquisition.

The higher power capacity will depend on confirmation of information and availability of electricity. The upgrade plans rely on the company’s experience in development and operations in the region.

The buyer, Enovum Data Centers Corp., is a subsidiary of WhiteFiber, and the acquisition was completed with $60 million in cash.
