Samsung SDS Builds AI Data Center in Gumi with Planned Capacity of 120 MW
The facility will support the deployment of AI robots in Samsung's manufacturing sites and provide cloud services to external clients.
The data center will be built on a 46,000 sq.m. site in North Gyeongsang Province and will have an initial capacity of 60 MW, which will be increased to 120 MW by the end of 2028.
The project is part of Samsung Group’s 60 trillion won investment plan to develop advanced manufacturing industries in the southeastern region of South Korea.
The data center will provide computing services for training AI models required for precise tasks and will also offer cloud services and colocation services to external clients.
