Google Backstops Anthropic's Kentucky AI Campus
Google LLC will guarantee lease obligations for Anthropic's AI campus in Kentucky, supporting expected funding.
TeraWulf announced on November 4, 2026, that Google LLC agreed to backstop lease obligations for Anthropic at the Justified Data Campus in Hawesville, Kentucky. This supports expected funding, linked to lease obligations totaling around $19 billion. TeraWulf also signed a complete construction contract with Fluor Enterprises for three buildings within the campus.
The guarantee from Google LLC, a subsidiary of Alphabet, strengthens the financial structure of the project and TeraWulf’s ability to secure competitive long-term funding. Alphabet’s senior unsecured debt has an AA+ rating from S&P Global Ratings and Aa2 from Moody’s.
The guarantee covers lease agreements for CB-1, CB-2, and CB-3, and includes TeraWulf, Raylan Data, Justified DataPower, Anthropic, and Google as parties. Raylan and Anthropic also amended the lease agreement for Justified related to the guarantee.
