Envision Deploys SST-Based 800V DC Power at Ulanqab AI Data Center
Envision has deployed an 800V DC power system using solid-state transformers (SST) at its AI Galaxy data center in Ulanqab, China.
The system, which is the first commercial deployment of its kind in a large AI data center, integrates power from the mains to the servers in real-time.
The system consists of three hardware layers: SST, battery energy storage system (BESS), and DC-DC converters for processing hardware.
The Dubhe Controller from Envision coordinates the operation of the SST and BESS in real-time, ensuring that the power supply matches the processing load and handling sudden changes in load.
