China warns UK against 'slander' after report on AI-powered cyber threats
China has warned the UK against making unfounded accusations of cyber attacks.
The report by the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) suggests that China is likely to use AI in operations targeting critical national infrastructure and other strategic targets.
China has denied previous allegations of cyber attacks by other countries, including the US and New Zealand.
The NCSC estimates that China, Russia, and other states will regularly use AI in the virtual space to achieve their geopolitical objectives by 2028.
