China Surpasses Training Data in AI Inference
China's AI inference data volume has exceeded training data volume, marking the country's AI transition from model development to industrial-scale application.
Data shows that by June 2026, China’s daily token call volume exceeded 17.5 trillion, a 1,000-fold increase from the beginning of 2024. The iteration cycle of top-tier large models has also decreased from the past 10 days to 1 day.
This milestone indicates that China’s AI industry has entered a stage of large-scale industrial application, according to the report. The report, titled ‘Ten Trends of New Domain and New Quality Innovation Development’, was released by the China Electronics Information Industry Development Research Institute on August 31.
