AMD Reports Record $13.4 Billion Quarter, Lifts Operating Profit 123%
AMD's quarterly revenue reached a record $13.4 billion, driven by a 97% increase in data center sales.
The company’s operating profit increased 123% to $2.8 billion, while its net income rose 95% to $2.4 billion. The data center business contributed significantly to the revenue growth, with sales increasing 97% to $8.5 billion. This was driven by strong demand for EPYC processors and the launch of the Instinct MI450 GPU series.
In contrast, the company’s client and gaming businesses saw revenue decline 8% to $3.7 billion, with gaming revenue falling 40% to $773 million due to lower sales of semi-custom and graphics products. The embedded business, however, grew 29% to $1.1 billion, driven by expansion in the aerospace and defense, automotive, and communications industries.
