A €1.46 million data center project has been approved in Svishtov, Bulgaria, to provide specialized computing and energy infrastructure for AI and related high-tech applications.
The project, submitted by Multimodal Highperegird End Digital Systems EOOD, aims to build a high-tech data center with its own systems for electricity production and storage. The facility will have two buildings, one with 12,000 square meters of built-up area, including IT halls, electrical halls with UPS, and administrative offices.
The project is expected to create 50 new jobs, with the potential to increase to 200 in the next five years. The company behind the project, Multimodal Highperegird End Digital Systems EOOD, has no history, with a registered capital of €40 and a sole owner, Laura Kostova, who also owns two other companies with similar characteristics.
The data center will be built on a 26.7-decare plot of land, with the main building covering 12,000 square meters and the secondary building housing energy storage equipment, gas boilers, and other facilities.
