Yandex's largest data center in Russia hit by drone attack
Russia's largest Yandex data center was damaged in a drone attack, causing disruptions to services.
The attack occurred at night, with the data center in Riazan region affected, and a large fire broke out on the industrial site.
Yandex confirmed the incident and power supply issues in its ‘ru-central1-b’ availability zone, with disruptions starting around 1.31 am and lasting for about 40 minutes.
The company warned that the incident could affect other parts of its cloud network and advised customers to move some services to another location until operations are restored.
