Yandex Data Center Hit in Russian Factory Attack
Ukrainian forces attacked a factory in Russia where a Yandex data center is located, causing a fire and disrupting services.
The attack also targeted a refinery in Bashkortostan, 1,400 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
The factory, Sasta, specializes in producing CNC machines for metal processing, used in defense, aviation, and heavy industries, as well as in Russia’s transportation sector.
Yandex reported an incident and issues with power supply in one of its availability zones on its cloud platform, Yandex Cloud.
