Virginia Protests New AI Data Center Construction
Environmental groups in Virginia protest new data center construction due to energy consumption and water usage concerns.
Virginia, the US state with the most data centers, has seen a surge in construction of data centers to support growing AI needs.
However, this has raised concerns about energy consumption, water usage, and noise pollution from generators.
Environmental groups, including the CCAN Action Fund, organized a protest to demand a halt to new data center construction.
