US Government Bans Chinese AI Model DeepSeek Over National Security Concerns
US Department of Homeland Security orders federal agencies to remove DeepSeek products and third-party services.
The US Department of Homeland Security has ordered federal civilian agencies to remove DeepSeek products and third-party services built on the Chinese AI model from their IT systems.
The department also barred agencies from procuring such products, citing national security concerns.
China has criticized the ban, accusing Washington of politicising trade and technology under the guise of national security.
