US Banks Block External AI Agents After Unauthorized Transactions
Major US banks block external AI agents after finding unauthorized transactions
Several major US banks, including Citibank, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and JPMorgan, have started blocking external AI agents from accessing their platforms and services after finding unauthorized transactions.
According to a report by Axios, the banks have been concerned about the potential risks of AI agents acting independently and performing actions that users did not intend.
A survey by Ping Identity found that 71% of consumers are worried that AI agents could misrepresent or display false information about themselves, but only 22% do not trust AI agents.
