Ukraine's Drones Strike Russian Data Centers
Ukraine's drones have attacked five major Russian technology companies' data centers, causing disruptions to payments, navigation, and cloud services across the country.
The attacks targeted three Yandex, one Sber, and one VKontakte data centers, causing widespread disruptions to payments, navigation, and cloud services across Russia.
The Sasovo center, one of the five major Yandex data centers, is home to dozens of thousands of servers and two of the company’s DI supercomputers.
The attacks are likely to further hinder Russia’s AI development, which has already been lagging behind the US and China for several years.
