TikTok User Arrested by Cybersecurity Division
Mariama Ba, known as Nourah Ba, was arrested for posting insulting messages online.
Ba, 29, is being prosecuted for inciting hatred and insulting a group of people based on their national origin.
The messages, which included the phrase ‘Séne Président akk sen serigne yeup séne… Yenn nieppeu ay goordjiguen you sida nguéne’, were deemed to be contrary to good morals.
Ba’s nationality was also clarified as Senegalese, born in Nguidilé, contradicting online rumors that she was Guinean.
