Students' Perspectives on AI in Learning and Teaching
A Croatian school's project explores students' experiences and attitudes towards AI in education.
The project ‘Artificial Intelligence in Learning and Teaching: Attitudes, Practices, and Ethical Dilemmas in Our School’ was initiated to investigate how students use AI, where they see its benefits, and where they have doubts and concerns.
A survey of 101 students, 48 parents, and 47 teachers found that over 50% of students use AI for school purposes at least once a week, but only 45% regularly verify the answers provided by AI.
The results of the project will inform the development of guidelines for responsible and safe AI use in schools, which will be piloted in the 2026/2027 school year.
