Spain Relaxes Data Center Regulations, Extends Renewable Energy Deadline
Spain has relaxed its data center regulations, increasing the minimum power threshold and extending the deadline for renewable energy deployment.
The Spanish government has revised its data center regulations to make them more flexible, following a surge in new investment projects in the country.
The revised proposal includes several key changes, including increasing the minimum power threshold for data centers from 1 to over 10 megawatts and extending the deadline for renewable energy deployment.
The revised regulations will apply to data centers with a power capacity of over 10 megawatts, allowing them to gradually adapt to the new requirements over a period of up to five years.
