Singapore Cybersecurity Agency Launches New Funding Plan to Help Enterprises Address Quantum Network Threats
The Singapore Cybersecurity Agency has launched a new funding plan to help enterprises test quantum security schemes and address potential quantum threats.
The plan requires enterprises to develop a plan by 2027 and implement it by 2035, while critical infrastructure institutions must implement it by 2031.
Digital Development and Media Minister Yang Li Ming emphasized that while the timing of the quantum threat is uncertain, institutions must prepare in advance.
The agency also urged enterprises to conduct a comprehensive review of their digital infrastructure, including systems storing sensitive data, and migrate to secure systems that can resist quantum threats.
