Rwanda Secures €17 Million to Strengthen Digital Public Services and Cybersecurity
Funds will support digital identity, government data systems, and cybersecurity.
The financing forms part of the Rwanda Digital Acceleration Project (RDAP), a five-year initiative cofinanced by the World Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
The project aims to improve broadband connectivity, develop digital government services, and support technology entrepreneurship.
However, some of the infrastructure needed to support the next phase remains incomplete, including the implementation of the government Data Hub and several cybersecurity and data protection activities that are still in the procurement stage.
