Rwanda Ratifies 17 Million Euro Financing to Enhance Digital Security

The financing will support the development of cybersecurity and data protection initiatives, including a smart digital identification system and a government data hub.

The Rwanda Digital Acceleration Project, a five-year program cofinanced by the World Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, aims to expand digital access and public e-services, and stimulate innovation.

The project has already introduced or improved 258 public services and connected 3,054 public sites to high-speed internet, with a goal of 5,000 sites.
