Photon Bridge Raises 10M for Laser Sources in AI Data Centers

The increasing competition in building large-scale AI systems is driving the demand for distant components, such as lasers, that transmit data between processors. Photon Bridge, a company from Eindhoven, has raised 10 million euros to develop multi-wavelength laser sources, which the company claims can be produced in quantities needed by next-generation AI data centers.

The funding round was announced on October 21, led by Amadeus APEX Technology Fund and 360 Capital, with existing investors Innovation Industries, Faber, and Brabant Development Agency (BOM) also increasing their investment.
