OpenAI's GPT-6 may lead to robotics breakthrough as soon as next year: Unitree founder

OpenAI's latest AI advances may lead to a robotics breakthrough within one or two years, according to Unitree Robotics founder Wang Xingxing.

Wang Xingxing, CEO of Unitree Robotics, expects OpenAI’s GPT-6 model to accelerate the prospects for a ‘ChatGPT moment’ in embodied intelligence.

He believes a GPT-7 model released next year could directly address the problems of embodied intelligence.

This is a faster timeline than previously estimated, with Wang previously suggesting it could take two to three years or up to a decade to reach this threshold.
