OpenAI Discovers Hidden Recording Device on Office Premises
OpenAI discovered a hidden recording device on one of its office premises, which was immediately reported to the FBI.
The company used its own AI models to identify the device and its origin, and subsequently identified an employee who had placed it there a few days earlier. The employee was fired, according to OpenAI.
The incident was described as a ’national matter’ by OpenAI, which stated that its security program is designed to protect against a broad range of threats.
The company believes that the incident demonstrates how AI can contribute to handling advanced security threats.
