NVIDIA to Invest Additional $2 Billion in Europe, Pushing for Continent's AI Participation
NVIDIA plans to invest an additional $2 billion in Europe, on top of the $80 billion it has invested in the continent over the past year.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced the plan during a visit to Paris, where he met with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss NVIDIA’s investment plans in France, open-source software, and AI security.
Huang emphasized that the additional $2 billion investment is on top of the $80 billion NVIDIA has already invested in Europe over the past year.
NVIDIA is promoting the use of open-source models, which it believes can help Europe catch up with the US in AI technology and reduce dependence on a few large companies.
