NVIDIA Commits $250 Million to UK AI Safety Research
NVIDIA pledges $250 million in computing resources to advance UK AI safety research over five years.
The initiative will provide $50 million in computing access each year to researchers through NVIDIA Cloud Partners based in the UK.
The programme will support work by the British Open-Ended Learning and Discovery Lab, the Science of Fundamental AI Research Lab, and Imperial College London.
Researchers will develop secure testing environments, reproducible research methods, and benchmarks for assessing AI safety, potentially involving NVIDIA OpenShell and Sentry reference design.
