Nvidia CEO Rejects AI-Related Security Events
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says AI industry should not tolerate any network security events caused by the technology.
Huang’s view contrasts with that of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, who recently suggested that some hacking attacks and scams may be a necessary cost for the benefits of AI.
Huang said that these events can be avoided by implementing stricter controls and monitoring on AI entities, comparing the issue to the early days of consumer internet when users could infect their computers by clicking on a website.
He also dismissed the so-called ‘AI extinction’ narrative, saying that the technology is ‘completely under our control’.
