Nscale and Anthropic Discuss $45 Billion Cloud Contract

Nscale, backed by Nvidia, is discussing the sale of computing power to Anthropic’s AI lab, Claude, as part of a new contract that could reach $45 billion. The contract would be the second major deal between the two companies, with Nscale seeking to conclude another major contract with Anthropic for a second site on the Monarch data center campus in West Virginia.

The initial contract, signed in August, saw Anthropic lease dedicated AI computing capacity from Nscale’s West Virginia campus for $45 billion. The new contract would see a second building at Monarch provide 460 megawatts of computing power using Nvidia’s advanced Vera Rubin chips.
