NCC Launches Working Group to Close Cybersecurity and AI Governance Gaps

The Nigerian Communications Commission has established a new Internet Governance Working Group to address cybersecurity and AI governance gaps. The group will provide a platform for telecom operators, internet service providers, and stakeholders to discuss challenges and work through solutions together. The move follows a survey that found only two of 19 licence holders were fully ready to implement the 2026 Internet Code of Practice.
