Microsoft AI System Outperforms Doctors in Medical Diagnosis Test
Microsoft's new AI system achieved an 83.2% accuracy rate in diagnosing complex medical cases, outperforming human doctors.
The system, called MAI-DxO, was tested on 304 complex medical cases and achieved a significant margin over human doctors, who only managed to diagnose correctly 36.1% of the cases.
The AI system uses multiple agents that simulate a team of medical experts, asking questions, evaluating symptoms, and discussing possible diagnoses.
The system’s ability to analyze and compare large amounts of medical information quickly makes it a promising tool for medical diagnosis.
