Malware Can Infect Android Phones Before First Use
A malicious software called Midnight Mimosa can infect some Android phones before their first use, researchers warn.
According to Bitdefender research, Midnight Mimosa can be integrated into the firmware of certain phones before their commercialization. This malware can also spread through apps distributed on the Play Store.
Several thousand devices have been affected in over 150 countries, including France. To avoid surprises, some precautions are necessary.
