Magasin's Customer Data Possibly Compromised in Cyberattack
Nearly 2 million members of Magasin's Goodie loyalty program may have had their personal data exposed in a recent cyberattack.
The attack, which was first reported on Sunday, is believed to have compromised customer data, including names, contact information, addresses, and purchase history. The data could be used by criminals to make phishing attempts more convincing.
Magasin’s director, Peter Fabricius, acknowledged that the company had received a warning about the potential attack and had been working to assess the extent of the breach. He emphasized that customers’ credit card information had not been compromised and that the company was taking steps to protect customer data.
