Lumentum to Expand Investment in Thailand, Study Wafer Fab Construction

Lumentum, a global leader in photonics technology, has announced plans to expand its investment in Thailand, aiming to elevate the country’s photonic production ecosystem to global flagship status.

The company aims to support the growing demand for high-speed communication components for AI data centers worldwide, partnering with local industry players to develop the supply chain.

Lumentum is also studying the possibility of constructing a wafer fab in Thailand, in line with the country’s national strategy to develop advanced semiconductor and electronics industries.
