Louisiana Tech Receives $612K to Expand Cybersecurity Programs
The U.S. Department of War grants Louisiana Tech $612,000 to support cybersecurity scholarships and expand training capabilities.
The award includes approximately $463,000 for Cyber Service Academy scholarships and $149,000 for capacity building involving artificial intelligence and security operations training.
The funding supports eight students with scholarships and stipends through the Cyber Service Academy, which connects cybersecurity education with the Department of War’s civilian cyber workforce.
The university’s on-campus Student Security Operations Center and Cybersecurity Applied Innovation Laboratory (CyAIL) provide students with hands-on experience in cybersecurity education and research.
