The authority will allocate 1,000 MW for new data centers, but will limit each facility to 200 MW.
The Israel Electricity Authority has announced new guidelines for connecting large data centers to the power grid.
The guidelines limit the maximum power of a new data center to 200 MW, and allocate 1,000 MW for new data centers, in addition to 300 MW for government and defense needs.
The move is expected to reduce the country’s electricity consumption by 20% by 2030.
