IISc Bangalore Professor Recommends Three-Semester Learning Path for Artificial Intelligence

Prathosh AP suggests a learning path spread across three semesters for students to understand AI, starting with mathematics, followed by the foundations of machine learning, and then approaching the latest methods.

He believes that even with many AI tools available, the right kind of mentorship at the right points in life matters a lot, and contributing new algorithms requires deeper learning.

Prathosh also emphasizes the importance of mathematical precision in helping people express ideas clearly and discover unexpected possibilities, and that reaching an answer is only part of learning, the steps between a question and its solution matter equally.
