Hong Kong primary pupils to study AI under new technology subject
Students as young as seven will learn to hold simple conversations with an AI system.
The Education Bureau will introduce a new subject called information and innovation technology (IIT) in Hong Kong primary schools from September 2028.
The subject will focus on digital literacy, creativity, and innovation technology, with AI being one of its highlights.
Students will learn to interact with AI systems using simple prompts or commands.
