Hitachi Starts Selling Wooden Data Centers
Hitachi has started selling a new model of its small data center container that uses wood instead of steel and concrete.
The new model, which uses wood for columns and other structural components, is designed to be low-cost and quick to deploy.
Hitachi claims that using wood reduces the carbon footprint of the data center and can help to mitigate the effects of climate change.
The company says that the data center can be installed in a variety of locations, including factory rooftops, and does not require a large power supply.
