Hermantown City Council Approves Google Data Center Project

The Hermantown City Council approved all six resolutions on Friday, clearing the way for Google to build a data center in the city. The project has been met with public criticism regarding transparency and environmental concerns.

The resolutions included a tax abatement agreement and a zoning ordinance amendment, which will allow Google to move forward with the project. The data center is expected to bring significant economic benefits to the area, including new jobs and infrastructure investments.
