Harvard Creates Digital Clones of Professors with AI: A New Era in Teaching
Seven Harvard Business School professors now have digital replicas that can hold conversations with students and entrepreneurs at any time.
The digital tool is part of HBS Foundry, a program that combines AI avatars with graduate education, and has begun to replicate in other US and international universities. The program operates since April 2026 and offers an eight-week virtual course for founders, graduate students, and PhD students.
The course allows participants to practice presentations, sales calls, and board meetings in front of videos generated by the HeyGen platform, which reproduce the criteria, materials, and responses of each teacher. According to The New York Times, the model has been tested in over 100 universities.
