Grok Unveils AI-Generated Opening Seven Minutes of The Odyssey
Grok's AI-made adaptation of The Odyssey sparks questions about AI's potential in cinema.
The video, developed with Wonder Studios and AI filmmaker Dev Walker, introduces the characters and events leading into the wider tale, but has received mixed reviews.
Critics have focused on the dialogue, pacing, and story unfolding, with some arguing that the episode feels like a sequence of generated scenes rather than a carefully crafted film.
The project has also attracted attention due to Elon Musk’s previous criticism of Christopher Nolan’s live-action adaptation of The Odyssey, which uses human actors and a traditional production process.
