Google Faces Investigation in Finland Over Forest Clearance for Data Center

Finnish authorities suspended work on two sites for a Google data center project in early October, citing environmental concerns. The decision was taken after it was discovered that a forest was cleared for the project without proper permits. The two locations, Muhos and Otanmäki, are about 100 kilometers southeast of the city of Oulu.
