The French Family Benefits Agency’s (Cnaf) vacation aid system, Vacaf, was hit by a data leak on Friday, with the agency confirming that some beneficiary data was accessed.
The agency quickly suspended access to the Vacaf platform to secure the environment and prevent further unauthorized access, and a crisis cell was activated.
The Cnaf has stated that the data breach does not affect the payment of benefits and that they will inform individuals affected and provide recommendations for protection against potential scams or identity theft.
