Former Hacker Warns AI Can Now Conduct Sophisticated Hacking

A former hacker who participated in one of the largest cryptocurrency heists in history has warned that AI-powered hacking is becoming an existential threat to cybersecurity.

The hacker, Ilya Lichtenstein, analyzed the recent Binance hack and noted that the methods used are similar to those employed by North Korean hackers.

Lichtenstein warned that hackers often target the weakest link in a system, rather than trying to directly breach the most secure parts.
