First Spanish Data Center Without Grid Connection
Krolmap plans to build a data center in Belchite, Spain, that runs on self-consumption.
The Aragonese engineering consultancy Krolmap is planning to build the first data center in Spain that does not rely on the electrical grid. To ensure self-consumption, the company aims to associate its complex with a photovoltaic installation.
The data center will be built in Belchite, a town in the province of Zaragoza, and will be designed to be completely independent of the electrical grid. This will allow the company to reduce its energy costs and carbon footprint.
