Denmark's Cyber Team to Compete in European Championship

Ten Danish teenagers will compete against 42 teams from around the world in the European Cybersecurity Championship in Germany.

The Danish team will compete in the European Cybersecurity Championship in Bochum, Germany, from October 12 to 16. The team consists of ten young people between the ages of 14 and 25 who were selected from over 800 hackers. The competition will test their skills in finding security vulnerabilities, attacking computer systems, and defending against digital attacks.

Landstræner Jens Myrup Pedersen, a professor of cybersecurity at Aarhus University, is confident in the team’s abilities. He notes that the team is highly skilled and has a strong ability to work together, which is essential in a highly competitive environment.

The competition is also seen as an opportunity to develop young talent in the field of cybersecurity, which is in high demand in Denmark. Industriens Fond’s program manager, Malene Stidsen, highlights the need for skilled professionals in the field to protect Danish businesses from cyber attacks.
