Datacenters 2027: The Year of Acceleration
SemiAnalysis predicts +50GW of datacenter capacity will be built in 2027, a significant acceleration from previous years.
According to SemiAnalysis, over 24GW of datacenters are in an advanced stage of construction, with most of them more than halfway done.
The company tracks over 100 sites in advanced construction, and expects many of them to be delivered on time.
Despite challenges and shortages, gigantic datacenter sites are being built, with examples including Crusoe’s Abilene site and AWS’s Indiana site.
