CoreWeave Co-Founders Sell $3.3 Billion Worth of Stock
Three co-founders of CoreWeave, an AI cloud computing company, sold a total of $3.3 billion worth of stock after its IPO.
The sale occurred amid investor concerns about AI spending and rising credit risk. The co-founders are Michael Inntreiter, Brian Benchoff, and Branimir Macidic. After going public, CoreWeave’s stock price rose 359% from its IPO price, reaching its peak. During this period, Inntreiter’s personal net worth reached $118 billion, and all three were included in the top 500 of Bloomberg’s billionaire index.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang mentioned in October that CoreWeave’s financial situation is improving. NVIDIA is a major supplier of computing equipment to CoreWeave. Huang stated at a Stockholm event that ‘CoreWeave’s strength is growing every day’ and that NVIDIA does not need to provide financial guarantees to CoreWeave.
CoreWeave’s stock price fell 11.91% on Friday.
