Companies Must Accelerate Labor Training Amid AI-Driven Skills Obsolescence

A study by EY warns that skills are becoming obsolete faster than traditional training systems can renew them.

The study highlights that 13% of workers worldwide believe their skills will not be sufficient for the next three years and lack opportunities to develop them in their current role. This gap is also evident in the adoption of artificial intelligence, with 95% of HR directors reporting active AI initiatives in their organizations, according to a Gartner survey.

In contrast, 51% of CIOs and senior IT leaders believe that required skills are evolving faster than available talent. In tech-based companies, this issue is a daily challenge, as each new generation of equipment and technology update requires technical profiles to be updated.

Toltech Group’s experience illustrates this challenge, with employees needing to adapt to changing job requirements and acquire new skills to remain relevant.
