Colombian Study Finds 27% of Workers at Risk of Job Displacement Due to AI
A study in Colombia found that 27% of workers are in occupations with high potential for automation, while 54% are in low-potential occupations.
The study, conducted by the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, found that workers in occupations with high potential for automation earn higher salaries and have higher education levels.
The study also found that women are more likely to be in occupations with high potential for automation, with 34% of women working in such occupations compared to 22% of men.
The study’s findings suggest that while AI may displace some jobs, it can also increase productivity and create new job opportunities in certain sectors.
