China already has spies at US AI labs, former researcher warns

A former researcher at Anthropic and OpenAI has alleged that China has spies inside US AI companies, allowing it to quickly close any technological gap.

Coxon made the allegation without providing evidence, but stated that China has the ability to hack at any time and steal advances from leading US AI labs.

He warned that even if the US pulls ahead, China can catch up by stealing progress at any time.
